She has served as general corporate for small businesses, including representing officers and directors. With respect to criminal matters, Ms. Fouladi handles all aspects of a criminal proceeding (both misdemeanor and felony charges), from arraignment through trial, sentencing and post-sentencing issues (such as probation violation hearings and expungements). Michael P. Kalish has an extensive background in Social Security disability, personal injury, consumer
law, real estate, veterans benefits and litigation.  Michael first began assisting and representing social security claimants  as a law student while  working for the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii and later as a staff attorney.  Michael has substantial experience in handling all aspects of the disability litigation process from initial application, through reconsideration requests and  representation at hearings  before  administrative law judges,  to federal court appeals.  In addition to representing clients before the Social Security Administration on initial claims for disability benefits, he has represented clients on long term disability claims, closed period claims,  disability claims for children,  adult children claims, surviving spouse claims .  He has successfully defended clients against claims by the Social Security Administration for repayment of disability and SSI overpayments.  Michael regularly represents clients at hearings before administrative law judges in both in California and Hawaii. Raymond E. Brown is a 17-year trial attorney with an exceptional trial record in both State and Federal courts. Over the course of his career, Mr. Brown has represented plaintiffs and defendants, and as lead attorney has never lost a bench or jury trial. Among his more noteworthy accomplishments, he obtained a $2.1 Million verdict against a California city for the shooting death of an 18-year-old man; a $4.25 Million verdict against a County regarding the murder of a 5-year-old girl; and a unanimous verdict on all causes of action in a highly publicized business dispute in Texas: Options National Fertility Registry v. Michael Allon, M.D.

In addition to his trial experience, Mr. Brown has an extensive background in appellate matters. He has successfully handled dozens of State and Federal appeals. Mr. Brown was counsel for the appellant in a recent Federal case that resulted in a published opinion by the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit overturning the trial court's award of summary judgment, Soldano v. Mr. Wood has been practicing law since 1973. Prior to becoming Of Counsel with Bohm, Matsen, Kegel & Aguilera, LLP he was a contract partner at Lewis, D'Amato, Brisbois & Bisgaard, LLP and a founding partner of Wood, Ward, & Garnett in 1980, which was an insurance defense firm based in Southern California. Prior to that, he was associated with two law firms in Southern California. Other experiences includes four years with I.T.T., and two years as a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. Mr. Wood is a licensed pilot and this has allowed him to represent clients throughout the State of California in remote jurisdictions. Mr. Wood and his wife Dawn are active in local charities.

For 10 years, Mr. Shaw was employed as Operations Manager and Training Supervisor for the largest commercial collections law firm in California.

During that period he developed a litigation and law office management database which completely automated the firm's collection litigation practice. Prior to joining the BOHM, MATSEN, KEGEL & AGUILERA team in April of 2008, he worked for a real estate litigation Firm in Orange County.

Personal

Mr. Shaw is married and the father of two boys. He is actively involved in local non-profit children's basketball programs and is on the Board Of Directors for the Fullerton Chapter of the National Junior Basketball program.

Director of Social Security Operations

Prior to joining Bohm, Matsen, Kegel & Aguilera, Daniel worked at the Hawaii State Legislature. He was the chief of staff for a state representative and was instrumental in drafting and getting passed into law a number of bills concerning land use in Hawaii. Prior to working at the Hawaii State Legislature, Daniel worked for Legal Aid of Hawaii in the area of Public Entitlement Law. He has represented clients in over 300 Social Security Disability hearings. He has worked on Public Entitlement cases in the Hawaii State Supreme Court and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has BS from Arizona State University and a JD from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, MI.
